I am a Master Trainer for STAR (Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience) an interdisciplinary training program for civil society leaders whose communities are dealing with traumatic events or ongoing challenging situations. This dynamic, interactive training equips leaders— educators, human rights workers, medical personnel,, educators, parents, clergy, humanitarian workers, etc.— to return to their community with the knowledge and skills to effectively help others, and practice self care. It draws from the fields of neurobiology, trauma healing, restorative justice, faith/spirituality, and conflict transformation. STAR, a program of Eastern Mennonite University’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, has trained thousands of civil society leaders from more than 60 countries since it began in 2002.I conduct workshops in psychosocial trauma healing, worker care, or trauma tools (including EFT) in the USA and internationally.
I am also a certified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) trainer with AAMET International. EFT is tool that can be used by professionally trained therapists or laypersons to release anxiety, trauma and stress.
